Work parties - what happens when people don't follow the rules?

The Times Online today has an article about what not to do at work parties if you don't want to sabotage your career: Dont have bad breath, dont get drunk, pace yourself and dont embarrass yourself on the dancefloor. Not exactly rocket science. I am a firm believer in learning from other people's mistakes.

We are indeed in turbulent and uncertain times. People are being shown the door and there's always the worry that you might be next. First things first - don't panic. Now, Emily Ford from the TimesOnline has a few helpful tips to boost your chances of avoiding the chop.

Chin up - it might never happen to you - but if it does, it may not be a bad thing. You'll suddenly have time on your hands. Ponder your future, be positive and perhaps consider a change in direction. Try something you've always wanted to do - and perhaps speaking to a Mole will help get the ball rolling..
